Week in Review

So, since it's been more than a week since our last post, we figured that there was some catching up to be done on the blogging scene. Here goes!

Last weekend we made a pilgrimage back to Logan with several purposes to accomplish. The first purpose was for Jacob to go deer hunting with his Dad who had a tag for the unit around the Logan area. We're sad to report that the hunt was unsuccessful, at least in the deer area! It can be counted as successful if the goal was to do a lot of hiking around! Purpose #2 was to attend an awesome Halloween themed Amazing Race planned by our friend Deidra. Of course since there was deer to be hunted, I went with Lindsay because her husband was off chasing deer too! It was an extremely well planned event and we had a blast hunting for something other than deer! Saturday night we had dinner and played some games with a few friends @ the Drapers. We played a little "Oh Marguerite," and I'm still a little burned that Tommy beat me with a 21 that he rolled and didn't even look at!!! It was luck... but Kudos anyway Tommy!

In the Halloween department, we attended a ward Halloween dinner, and didn't really talk to many people, like usual! Ava dressed up and went trick-or-treating (or trunk-or-treating) at the "Firth Town Center" which is pretty much like the parking lot behind the Taxidermy shop! I can't say what Ava was for Halloween, because if you don't already know it will spoil the picture blog that is to come! Please stay tuned!

We've also been potty training Ava this week with the same method that we started with earlier - 3 Day Potty Training. As parents who have never potty trained a child before, this seems to work pretty good, with a few little tweaks of our own to accommodate our own child and her personality. There was 1 day that I was seriously contemplating a blog post entitled "A Sea of Pee," but we're happy to report that day came and went and that post is no longer relevant! Ava is doing pretty well considering it's only been 1 week!

* Expelled: Documentary with Ben Stein; Evolution vs. Intelligent Design. Very though-provoking, interesting and well done. It helped us understand a little more about each one and compare them to our beliefs. We liked it! Watch the trailer
