As previously promised... a Halloween post... with pictures!
There were a lot of Halloween happenings around Firth this year. We attended 2 Halloween carnivals: 1 with our ward Primary & the other @ the Elementary School. We were excited to participate in a fundraiser for the school that Ava will be attending next year. It's a GREAT school! Ava had a fun Halloween party & trick-or-treating at Firth High School with her preschool class. Then on to the "trunk-or-treats," 2 to be exact. Our ward combines with the other ward in the building for a big trunk-or-treat in the church parking lot. We came away with Ava's bucket full, but our candy-giving bucket was still about half full. So, we ran down to the community trunk-or-treat in town. We made it a little late so most people had already left, but we still managed to collect a little more candy for Ava & sufficiently deplete our own supply. (The candy that other people get is always better than your own! At least for us... we buy cheap!)
Ava dressed as Belle this year, which was surprisingly her first, and ONLY choice for a costume this year! Emma dressed as a puppy dog that we borrowed from family. However, I brought the costume home before Emma was born & hung it in the closet never to be tried on until it was time to wear it. It ended up being a little small, but for all intents & purposes it worked out just fine! We just couldn't get the cute puppy ears to stay up very well for pictures!
