A Moab Reunion

At the end of June we had a family reunion with Jacob's immediate family & Moab was the meeting place. Jacob & I were in charge this year & things turned out great - although we are glad it's not our turn again for awhile! We ended up with a great campsite near Ken's Lake just outside of Moab & couldn't have asked for better weather while we were there with temps in the 80's. It was still a different kind of hot, but it wasn't 100+ & for that we were grateful. The day we packed up to leave you could tell it was going to be a scorcher & we were happy to be heading home to a cooler Idaho. The trip was mostly problem free except for a blown trailer tire on the way down & swollen feet/ankles on the way back! We had a super time catching up with family, playing in the lake, mastering paddle boards, hiking in Arches & just hanging out.

~That's Ava way out there getting the hang of the paddle board -she did a great job!
~ Jacob & Rob heading for an attack on tube-floating Jeremy, but I missed the action shot!
~ BBQ lunch @ the lake & how many grand kids fit on a paddle board with Grandma!

~ The kids loved riding the paddle boards with anyone that would take them!
~ Ashlee & I discovering the best board techniques; sudden moves were not among them!

~ Adults, kids & the whole family during our hiking day @ Arches

~ Pics of some of the arches & structures we checked out while hiking
~ The bottom & top pics in the middle were ones Jacob took/edited with his phone near
our campsite. They turned out pretty awesome it almost makes you want to visit there again.... almost! ;)
