It's finally finished... well, it's been finished for a couple weeks, but I'm finally posting the official pictures. It's minus a few decorations, but I haven't found just the right ones yet! After sleeping in a bedroom with 4 different walls for more than a year, we are very pleased with the results of our bedroom makeover quest... & that it is finally done! I think we'll go with the "after" pictures first, just because they are much better!
The canvas-looking "art" on the walls is totally made of fabric covered shoebox lids & I'm not afraid to disclose that! Cheap... Easy... Wonderful! Because our house is old & nothing is even, level or square, we had to deal in "close enough" when adding our trim & new doors (don't mention the doors around Jacob!). The first painting story goes like this: We liked the walls that Jacob's mom had stained in her house so we wanted it to. We probably chose the wrong color stain. The second wall ended up being darker than the 1st & the 3rd wall even darker because we thought we would like it better. We never made it to the 4th wall, then the room stayed that way for about a year while we decided that we didn't like it & needed to do something else! (Does anyone else have this happen, or just us?!) Just check out the difference! The first one here is what the walls originally looked like when we moved in & before we tried our hand @ staining them.

What do your stars on your ceiling spell out?
Nothing... most of them have fallen down! :)
