I Said..."Hey, What's Goin' On?"

If you're old like me you'll possibly recognize my tribute to a one-hit-wonder band from my time. If not... let's move on!

April 29th was quite a while ago in blog land. Here's a recap of "What's Goin' On" @ our house & in our lives; including some pics & a BRIEF synopsis of each.

First up, we head all the way back to April (even though I blogged then, I left this one out). Jacob & I headed to Boise for the PBR with a stop on the way to leave the kiddos with Grandma & Grandpa. They were so excited that they just wanted to be dropped at the curb with their stuff & have us get out of there! A bite @ The Cheesecake Factory was so super yummy that we had to eat some before we could even get a picture! And our car hit 200K on this trip.

Now, on to May. Ava finished 1st grade & got some awards including the Principal's Award which only goes to 1 student from each class. (We're not sure what exactly qualifies them, but her teacher said it was a big deal!)

Jacob's Mom came to help us transform our big pile of potato dirt into something much more attractive. It's hard to see, but there are plants there. They just need some growing time! I couldn't find the before pics, but just know there were really ugly bushes & it was bad!

Truck Beast just wasn't making the grade for us anymore. So it got sidelined for something more economical & roomy (well, a little more economical anyway!)

When Memorial Day weekend rolled around we headed to Utah to visit family. A fun picnic & short hike to Bridal Veil Falls, where we haven't been in a LONG time, were just a few of our adventures. The cousins all loved playing with each other & having a "sleepover," although there wasn't much sleeping going on!

On Memorial Day we visited the Field of Honor in Idaho Falls to honor Veterans. It was a cool sight with all the flags. Very humbling.

And finally... the girls found a fun experiment of making fog with dry ice, so we had to concoct a crazy show to go with it. Our minds came up with a rock concert for Dad in the shop, complete with decked out rock star singers, fog & dimmed lights! The playlist included "Call Me Maybe," "Moves Like Jagger," & "Trouble!"
