Friday Fun

Since there is no school on Fridays around here, we have to find things to fill the day. We recently started doing some sort of fun project/activity each Friday. This would have been a good thing to start @ the beginning of the year instead of the end, but sometimes great ideas hit me a little later than they do others! At any rate, we've completed a few projects & this is how they turned out...

First up, Duct Tape Purses! These have got rave reviews. We used this tutorial (but just made duct tape straps instead of using a rope).

Next, Grass Potato Heads. Made from a nylon, these easy things are awaiting hair growth in the kitchen window!

On that particular Friday we were able to double the fun thanks to Kids Week @ our awesome bank! They had I-spy bottles & these fun marshmallow guns for them to make! Lucky us!

And finally, our Basement Greenhouse! We did this last year with good results so we decided to expand with even more plants this year. In our variable Idaho weather it's a little nerve-racking to plant things outside when we never know if it's going to freeze. So, we opt to start some things in the house to make sure we can actually have plants & flowers when it's finally time for them to be planted outside!
