We've had a little Spring weather teaser this last week which the effects of cabin fever have made us long for. Of course it's not quite Spring in Idaho & there are no guarantees around here that we will even see much of that particular season. That being said, any sunny day above 40 is cause for heading outside & that's just what we did. The breeze was still very apparent, but an un-breezy day isn't too common for us folk so we just have to get over it!
The "Firth Nature Path" (or FNP as some Firth-ites may recognize it! ;) is a great close-to-home getaway. Several trips with dog walking, bike riding, & stroller pushing were enjoyed by us on these few lovely days, and we even managed a few casts into the river while the sun was setting.
A boy & his dog!
Eating ice is way better than fishing!
Ava was actually present & fishing right beside Dad, but someone accidentally deleted a couple pics from the camera before we could get them to the computer.
{coughJacobcoughcough} At the end of our last trip we discovered this
COOL ice feature. At the edges of some of the ice it was thawed enough that it could be broken by hand and would come out in these long shards of ice that sounded just like breaking glass. It was so super cool that Ava & I had a hard time tearing ourselves away from playing with it & trying to figure out why it did that! I'm not sure the pics do it justice, but I tried anyway.
Here's hoping for more Spring!
PS. The "FNP" is an inside joke from a Halloween party a couple years ago. You had to be there!
