A Friendly Frenzy!

Over the weekend, our fabulous, wonderful, one-in-a-million (or 6-in-a-million), completely irreplaceable friends came all the way to Firth to visit us! (See how much we love you guys... does that make you want to come back soon?! :)

On Saturday, while we awaited the arrival of the Drapers, the other 3 families met @ Rupe's for some yummy lunch. Tommy did a little reminiscing & we had fun catching up & admiring each other's kids that we haven't seen in a while. While we waited for ourselves to get hungry again, we sat around & talked like old times & watched kids roll around the floor (Austin), or do the worm (Mason), or run from place to place without stopping (Jack), or try to get absolutely all eyes on them (Ava)! What a blast! It was so fun to finally see our friends with kids... changing diapers, wet clothes, hurrying to wipe spit up off the floor, etc. I revel in all these things & am glad to no longer be the only one doing them!

Everyone contributed to an awesome spread of homemade Cafe Rio burritos for dinner, followed by some cake & ice cream to celebrate Lindsay's recently passed birthday! We had big plans of playing some games, but the time went by so fast & the thought of dealing out Hand & Foot with 4 extra pairs of hands seemed to be a less-than-wise idea @ the time, so we skipped games & just chatted & laughed instead! Sadly, The Kites had to leave us that night, but we were so grateful that they came, even just for the day.

On Sunday, the rest of us went to church, watched Ava give her very first talk in Primary (which, btw, made me cry), & then headed to The Greenbelt in Idaho Falls for a picnic in the sun/wind/clouds! Gotta love the Idaho weather! We fed the not-so-hungry ducks a few pieces of bread before we each headed off in our different directions. What a great weekend! The most fun us Newmans have had in a long time... unless you count moving & having a baby fun... but I sure don't! Thanks friends for the visit - we love you all!

Here are a few pics of the weekend, but I think Drapers & Bergstroms have better ones!

You didn't even play Hand and Foot in my honor? I'm offended! ;-)

I can't believe everyone with their kiddos. Crazy!
