At the beginning of this week we turned on the computer to electrical burning smells. After a diagnoses from "The Computer Guy," turns out one of the fans went out (among other things), fried the motherboard & the hard drive along with it! This was the "Blues" part! It's a sad day when you find that nothing on your hard drive can be recovered & your computer is a total loss. Especially when you were typing up a really cool family recipe book that you didn't bother to save elsewhere & were 95% finished! {SIGH} Luckily we didn't have too much else stored that we could lose since there wasn't much room to store it anyway!
Now, on to the "Bliss" part! After some online checking, price comparisons & running back & forth to several different stores... we came home with a brand new computer today. Of course we had to set it up immediately & it's even better than we could have imagined! Big screen, super-duper fast & quiet... we've decided that this must be what computer heaven is like! Merry Christmas to us!!! And may our old computer (which use to be The Hartwells old computer!) & everything on our lost hard drive rest in peace!

Way to make me feel bad by bad-mouthing my computer. It fought a good fight since 2003, and for computers, you can't expect much more than that. Glad you got a new, faster one!
There was no bad-mouthing involved! It served us well while we had it & we can't complain about going from no computer to actually having one!
