* Woke up on Wednesday morning ready to pack the car & head to Utah, only to discover that Ava was sick & had a fever... we went anyway.
* Traveled 4 hours to Utah, which made my feet/ankles swell & never go down the whole time we were there!
* Had a sick & sometimes seemingly catatonic, child for 2 1/2 days who didn't eat hardly anything. (For anyone who knows her, an Ava that only sits & doesn't say much is NOT a normal Ava!!!)
* Participated in the annual "Newman Family Thanksgiving Day Turkey Shoot" where we actually shoot clay pigeons & not turkeys! The object is to hit the most clays out of a designated number to win the coveted trophy. Jacob won with 14/15 & is so proud (although we happened to have forgotten to bring home the trophy) I actually hit 2, which is not bad for pregnant & a gun that is too big for my midget arms!
* Ate a SUPER Thanksgiving meal with the whole family.
* Girls got up early (reasonably early, but not insanely early) for some Black Friday shopping.
* Met some good friends for a yummy dinner & Temple Square lights in the cold!
* Woke up Saturday with a mostly back-to-normal Ava, packed up & headed to Grandma's for lunch before the trip home.
Here are a few pictures, although the majority of them are the same picture with different subjects. There is also a video of Ava singing her turkey song that she learned @ preschool. (We did manage to get her to sing it a couple times while we were there, but the video is actually post-TG)
