Blessing Day for Lyndie

We picked January 11th for Lyndie to be blessed because we had family that would be in town. Just our luck that it was going to be Stake Conference that weekend! Luckily, Ava (& the Sr. Primaries of the Stake) were singing so there was a reason to take the whole family to church with us! We invited a few friends & neighbors & arranged it so that we could just grab a room after the meeting & it worked out great since we were all in the same building!

Jacob gave Lyndie an awesome blessing & I detailed those things in her journal. We were grateful for those that traveled to participate. We fed everyone lunch & then family hung out at our house for a bit before heading home. I must confess that these pictures were staged because I didn't really get any of her in the blessing dress on the actual day! Lyndie was able to wear the same dress that both Ava & Emma were blessed in. It was given to us by Jacob's Grandma Haueter when we had Ava. It's been a fun tradition to have them wear the same dress, but I'm afraid we've created a dilemma for when they are older as we now only have 1 dress to share between 3 girls. We'll just have to get creative so they can each have a part of that special keepsake! The blanket she is laying on was made especially for her by our adopted Grandma (1 of them), Grandma Jolley, that lives down the street. A special keepsake just for Lyndie!
