The Newmans Give Thanks 2013

For the past several years we've used our "Give Thanks" board throughout November to list things we are thankful for each night at dinner. Some days we forget & have to do several at once, but they all get done in the end! Here's our list this year in no particular order of importance:

* We are thankful that we can be a family
* We are thankful for many places where we can go & do fun things & enjoy time together
* We are thankful for our house & its comforts & how it makes us feel to be home
* We are thankful to have clothes & shoes to wear
* We are thankful for all the meals we can eat together as a family
* We are thankful for the missionaries
* We are thankful for our pets - they are fun to have
* We are thankful to live somewhere that is mostly safe from natural disasters
* We are thankful for things to drink
* We are thankful for the scriptures that we can read & learn from
* We are thankful for the rain because it waters flowers for us
* We are thankful for our whole entire house because it keeps us safe, warm & is a nice place to live
* We are thankful to live in a great community w/ good people to be involved with
* We are thankful for the sun, especially in the winter
* We are thankful for the chance to be baptized members of the church & follow Jesus' example
* We are thankful for our tongues because if we didn't have them we couldn't talk (& talking is a big deal around here!!!)
* We are thankful for flowers because they are pretty & they make us happy
* We are thankful for the prophet "for he speaks in God's name" (that's from a song)
* We are thankful that we can fast to help others
* We are thankful for good kids
* We are thankful for our toys & the things we have to play with
* We are thankful for the temple because it blesses our family
* We are thankful for school & all the ways we can learn
* We are thankful for Chinese food - YUM!
* We are thankful for Grandmas & Grandpas & even adopted ones
* We are thankful for our vehicles & that they work
* We are thankful to live in this country & for freedoms we enjoy
* We are thankful for the library where we can get lots of book & they have fun things to do there
* We are thankful for clean water to drink
* We are thankful for schools & teachers that help us learn
