SLC Mini Vacation

On our way to Grandma's house & bridal shower events, we made a stop in Salt Lake for our own little family vacation. We're calling it a vacation, because it may be the only so-called "vacation" we get this year! We stayed in a hotel, went swimming, & took in some places that we have been wanting to get to for a while. We ordered pizza to our hotel room (been missing a little Papa John's Pizza) then took the girls swimming where we met someone from Idaho Falls. The next morning @ the free breakfast we ran into some friends from Firth which was a shocker!

1st stop was the LDS Church History Museum with the main attraction being their hands on Book of Mormon exhibit for the kids. We managed to get some quick peeks @ the other exhibits & would have loved to have spent more time checking out stuff from the Mormon Pioneers, but alas... kids would not allow it (that was stuff you couldn't touch!) We made our way through Temple Square, stopped to take pics & be jealous of all the BEAUTIFUL flowers, and headed to the top of the Church Office Building. What a view!

Next up... lunch with friends @ The Gateway. Plans had been made for Discovery Gateway with The Bergstroms (most of them) & we were lucky enough to be in town the same time as Deidra so we could all do lunch together. The girls loved the Discovery Gateway Children's Museum & wore themselves out with all of the fun, hands-on activities they had there. With all that under our belt it was on to Grandma's & the rest of the weekend.

So glad we got to see you. And glad you had a good time. I laughed again, thinking of Ava saying she's been dieing to go to the church history museum.
