What could possibly be so surreal about the life of the Newmans that is also worthy of a blog post in times of blog post scarcity? There's already a baby on the way, although a baby on the way sooner would definitely fall into the category! (Alas, that is not the case!) We didn't win the Idaho lottery, but that would be nice!
Ok, give up? We are buying a house!!!! Woohoo!!!! We just got the news today that the buyers are accepting our offer, so by the middle of March the house will officially be ours! We thought we'd have house & baby fall about the same time for added dramatic effect & way more stress! Any other way would be too easy!
We don't have pics, but here's a wordy overview:
It's a little white house, 3 bed 2 bath, with more potential living space in the basement that just needs some fixing up. It comes with 2.25 acres, barn, & corrals (for all those horses we're planning to get :). Really, we're not sure what to do with those, but they are there! The house is, according to the legal description, in Shelley, but it's so much closer to Firth that people around here just call it Firth anyway. The house is really cute & we like it a lot. It's in really good shape with lots of new stuff, but we have our own lofty plans (some of which will just have to wait awhile). Jacob especially loved the place due to the unused land next door that fills up with water & harbors lots of ducks & geese! Some flew over when we were looking @ the house & he was pretty sure it was a sign from Heaven! I guess now he doesn't have to go far to do some hunting... just the backyard!
If you go back a little more than a year, many tears were shed @ the thought of moving to a little town that no one had ever heard of (except Chris & Deidra!). But, as time passes, little Firth Idaho grows on you & we've decided to stay for a few years @ least! We're sure this decision will enable other big plans that we have for the future & we really are happy to stick around here a little longer! We just hope our surrounding friends & neighbors won't shun us for moving to the Presto Ward!
Anyway, we're pretty excited & will definitely post pictures when we can. Next addition to the family... a dog! Well, a baby first... then a dog!

Congrats on the house! I was with Karisa when I read this post and she said, "I have no idea where that house is." And then I kept reading the description and she said, "Oh! I know exactly which house it is. {So and so's} house, by the Goshen Ocean!" Oceanfront property in Firth-- who knew?!
Congratulations. Its great owning your own house...of course that means we're sad you're not moving back to Logan anytime soon.
