Another Round of Awards

After a long & mostly sleepless trip to Utah, Jacob & his taxidermy work pulled out some wins @ the Idaho State Taxidermy Competition (lucky for us, held in Pocatello this year!) This year's entries included a Whitetail Deer w/ habitat (as seen on Jared Scott Outdoors) & a lifesize Mountain Lion with a bird (bird completed on same morning it was loaded into trailer!) Now, let me see if I can get these straight...

Whitetail Awards
* Taxidermist's Choice - Best Whitetail
* Best Habitat
* 2nd Place Ribbon for score in the Master's Division

Mountain Lion Awards
* 1st Place Ribbon for score in the Open Division
* Best in Category - Lifesize Animal
* 3rd Place Ribbon for the bird (He didn't expect much more since it was finished so quickly!)

The Mountain Lion got a lot of compliments about it being so good since cats are supposedly a harder animal to get looking nice. They were then shocked to find out that it was the first cat he's ever done! How's that for AWESOME! We are proud of our award-winner!
